Change management
In essence, change management is simply defined; the process of getting from the current situation to a newly defined situation.
So we go from A (“ist”) to B (“soll”) via C (process). And yet, in practice, time and again we find out how difficult it is. Many change processes fail or do not give the expected results. In this 4-day Masterclass, we will work on breaking through resistance to change, the three different phases in a change process and the different approaches and management styles that can be used during each of these phases.

About the course
It is in human nature to stick to fixed patterns, habits and ways of working. It gives hold, security and is efficient, we don’t have to keep inventing and learning. ‘Homeostasis’, a natural balance and equilibrium. In change management, we ask people to break this, to do things differently. In doing so, it is not an unwillingness to change, but a natural process of resistance. How do we deal with this? How do we get people on board? How do we get people to walk through the steps without forcing them.
In the process of change, we look broadly at people, processes and systems. It is often underestimated that each phase has its own dynamics and usually requires different types of people. Is the manager who is there now still the right person to also lead in the new situation? And who is the leader during the transition? Answers to these and many more questions are addressed in this module.
Assessment
The practice-oriented nature of the Masterclass is characterised by the assessment through the writing of a research paper. In addition, the teacher may request presentations and/or additional assignments. In order to conduct thorough research, a digital session on Research Methods & Techniques is part of the Master class.
Certification
The Master Class is part of an NVAO-accredited Master. The program is concluded with a Master Class certificate and accompanying silver Edu badge including entry in the register.

Experiences
“It was incredibly nice that I was only able to follow one module. This allowed me to get acquainted with the level of a Masterclass and specifically choose a subject I am interested in. The guidance before and during the module was very pleasant. They were also proactive in helping me make a paper, to get extra guidance on that. This was very thoughtful and valuable.
This way, you can develop yourself, but you are not tied to it for a long period of time. Within 4 months, you are ready. Lovely!”
