The flexible financial Master program.
The Master of Science in Finance & Control (MFC) is a special progam for managers working in a policy-determining position, with a financial-economic education. The objective of this training is two-fold. On the one hand, you are expected to become a full-fledged sparring partner for managers at policy level. To achieve this, the training covers both the financial field and the managerial work. Currently we only offer this program part-time.

About the program
The Master of Science in Finance & Control is designed for the manager with a financial and economic education who functions on a policy-making position. The objective of this training is twofold. On the one hand, the deepening of financial knowledge and, on the other hand, the broadening of business management and strategy. The focus is on complicated and integrated issues that occur at the higher level of an organization.
With this Master’s degree, you move from function-oriented acting to solution-oriented thinking. You will learn to deal with problems and challenges that extend across various disciplines.
This will enable you to make the translation and connection to the board and other members of a management team. In addition, you will focus on your personal development and leadership qualities.
Deepening and widening knowledge
Training takes place in the fields of finance, strategy and management, but also in personality development and communication. By integrating knowledge of the various financial and non-financial topics, you will form an integral picture of the challenges a financial manager faces.
Graduates of the Master Finance & Control can work in different roles, such as financial director, financial manager at the division level of large companies, general controller of large-scale complex projects or as an information controller.
Prior to starting this program, you have completed a bachelor education. In addition, you have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in finance. This Master Finance & Control makes it possible to realize your ambitions to take the next step in your career.

To follow the Finance & Control, you must have at least a bachelor diploma and three years of relevant work experience. You discuss your personal (work) situation and wishes during an intake interview. Based on this you will receive a study advice and you can be admitted to the study program.
Do you not exactly meet the admission requirements? If you can demonstrate to have at least five years of relevant professional experience at a higher professional education level and that you have gained substantive knowledge through training or courses, adminission may be possible. This is tested during an intake interview.
Duration and study load
The Master Finance & Control lasts 2.5 years and consists of approximately 39 contact days. Outside of lecture hours, the study load will be an average of ten hours per week.
The lectures are on Monday afternoon and Monday evening, every other week. Consultation meetings will take place in the morning. Here, together with your fellow participants, you will work on cases and assignments, prepare presentations and give feedback on each other’s work. This is all done with the guidance of lecturers and NLBA employees.
The Master of Science in Finance & Control can be attended in Dordrecht, Utrecht and Breda (subject to sufficient participation per location).
On successful completion of the Master program you will receive the Master of Science diploma and the title MSc.
The Dutch Master of Science in Finance & Control is NVAO-accredited.
