You play an active role in monitoring corporate objectives and improving business processes. You are able to solve complex issues. After graduation, you may use the title Master of Science (MSc) or Master Finance & Control (MFC).

Graduates of the HOFAM programme at NiVE Institute of Controlling are eligible for a significant number of exemptions for the Master Finance & Control. As a result, the programme can be completed in just 1.5 years. We choose a hands-on approach with many current topics introduced by student and lecturer. But NLBA also chooses to test knowledge by writing papers and assignments within your own working environment. This allows you to immediately apply the knowledge gained in your own job/organisation and gives your programme direct added value. Do you have another post HBO Controller programme? About the Master Finance & Control fast track for HOFAM alumni

A master’s degree not only provides depth in your field, but also helps you to continuously update and develop a broader outlook as a professional. Our MSc Finance & Control is unique because it focuses on controllers who want to be strong in both finance and business. The programme combines (normally) one year of financial subjects with a second year that focuses entirely on business subjects, making you a full-fledged discussion partner at management level. This combination ensures that you not only manage financial processes effectively, but can also help think about strategy and organisational development company-wide.

Thanks to our partnership with NiVE that has lasted for more than 15 years, this fast track is seamlessly aligned with the HOFAM course. As a result, you will receive one year (!) of exemptions and can expect the same practical approach and personal guidance you are used to.

NVAO Accreditation

The Master Finance & Control is NVAO-accredited and registered in the CROHO register under code 70114. Upon completion, you may choose between the academic MSc title or the practice-oriented MFC title. For more information on the difference between a WO master’s and a professional master’s and why you may make this choice, please read our article on master’s accreditation.

Do you not fully meet the formal admission requirements? If you have at least five years of relevant work experience at hbo level and have gained relevant knowledge through additional education or courses, you will still qualify for admission. If necessary, taking a deficiency module may be required to acquire the right basic knowledge for specific parts of the programme.
