The Master Finance & Control – fast track has been specially developed for AA alumni (or current students) who want to broaden their expertise and develop as fully-fledged sparring partners for directors and management. In this shortened track, you will obtain your master’s degree within one year, allowing you to fully focus on business and strategic topics.

About Master Finance & Control fast track for AA alumni
This fast track variant of the MFC is NVAO-accredited and integrates seamlessly with the knowledge from the AA programme. With exemptions for financial subjects such as Corporate Finance, the focus is on broadening into business and strategic subjects. The practical approach enables you to apply the knowledge directly in your work environment. You complete each module with a paper or assignment, so the programme has an immediate impact, both for you and for your employer.
NVAO Accreditation
The Master Finance & Control is NVAO-accredited and registered in the CROHO register under code 70114. Upon completion, you may choose between the academic MSc title or the practice-oriented MFC title. Your background
This fast track is designed for AA alumni with a completed AA degree and at least three years of relevant work experience. Admission
To follow the master finance & control fast track, you have a completed AA degree or are currently following the hbo Accountancy / SME course. You also have at least three years of relevant work experience. During an intake interview, we will discuss your personal situation and ambitions. Based on this, you will be given appropriate study advice and together we will determine whether the programme matches your goals.
Do you not fully meet the formal admission requirements? If you have at least five years of relevant work experience at hbo level and have gained relevant knowledge through additional education or courses, you will still qualify for admission. If necessary, taking a deficiency module may be required to acquire the right basic knowledge for specific parts of the programme.
During the intake interview, your options and any exemptions will be discussed, and you will hear directly whether and under what conditions you can be admitted to the fast track.
Duration and Study load
The Master Finance & Control (MFC) fast track for AA alumni takes one year, and the graduation phase, and consists of 19 contact days. The average study load is around 10 hours per week, including lecture hours. It is also possible to follow the programme in a modular way or in two half-year tracks, followed by the graduation phase.
Lecture days and times
The lectures take place on Mondays. Prior to the lectures, you will work on your assignments together with fellow students and supervisors. The first lecture day of each new module starts without a consultation session.
Morning: 11:00 – 13:00 consultation session
Afternoon: 14:00 – 17:00
Dinner: 17:00 – 18:00 included in the venue fee
Evening: 18:00 – 21:00 hours
Locations
The Master Finance & Control is offered in Utrecht, Arnhem and Breda, depending on sufficient participation per location.
Language
Dutch literature is primarily used for all modules. Only in very exceptional cases will English literature be used, for instance if no Dutch translation is available. The lectures are entirely in Dutch, and assignments at C1/C2 level may also be submitted in English or German.
Costs
The current training costs are listed at the top of the page and are VAT-free.

Title and diploma
After successful completion of the programme, you will receive the degree Master Finance & Control and you can choose between the title Master of Science (MSc) or Master Finance & Control (MFC).
