International recognition for MBA Culture, Heritage and Citizenship

After the accreditation of our MBA Culture, Heritage & Citizenship (CHC) by the Dutch Flemish Accreditation Organization (NVAO), there is now a European confirmation of the necessity of this young master’s program. We have successfully employed the initiative for a joint interdisciplinary European MBA CHC curriculum on the Erasmus + program of the European Commission. Erasmus+ praises the initiative as ‘unique’ and ‘innovative’: MBA ECHC offers the opportunity to renowned international partners at European level to gather knowledge and experience and to give a significant boost to a true European educational program to combine the skills and knowledge from business administration with those of art, culture and culture heritage sector. The Erasmus+ jury expects this project to make an important contribution to the discussion about the relationship between heritage and EU citizenship ‘which can help the whole sector ahead.

Language policy

At institutional level Netherlands Business Academy arranges simultaneous translation services. This means that for outbound students who do not speak, nor read, the local language (i.e. in current partnering program with institutions in Russia), two translators will accompany the students to the partner institute.

One translator will be responsible for language translations. The second translator will be able to converse with the local staff in the specific language regarding content and provide translations on a content-based level. This should ensure correct dissemination of the necessary knowledge. The necessary language skills and measures taken to ensure correct dissemination of knowledge are always negotiated and discussed with partner institutes before mobility. No mobility can take place without such an agreement, both for incoming as well as outgoing mobility.
